wtf.
I have been quite obsessed with a few musicians before (eminem, trey songz, etc) but somehow I am overly obsessed with this time -- a foreign musician. How in the world could I like a boyband who does not speak english, who reside outside of the states, whom ive only known of since January? lmao.
Somehow I was looking up my friend (well, i consider him friend since we've actually hung out and got hammered together haha) Kris Lawrence and ive been hearing about him looking so much alike with Taeyang, a kpop musician. I looked Taeyang up one day on youtube and since that day, I have not stopped googling the crap out of him. I mustve seen ALL of his youtube videos. Then I realized he is part of BigBang, an "idol group" (what they call it in asian countries which basically means boyband) and wtf i started googling the crap out of them too! To think, all these came about only in January!
Then I became even more obsessed upon seeing Taeyang's RealSound Episode and he introduced Shaun Evaristo as his choreographer. Since Shaun lives in LA and he is the closest encounter I can possibly have with BigBang, I made it a goal to meet him. Hahaha Sure enough i did one day, along with Aimee Lucas who has been dancing with Bigbang for quite a while now too.
I can say I am fangirling excessively already, calling myself a VIP--Bigbang fanclub members. The most amazing thing is I did not realize how many VIPS are ALL OVER THE WORLD! haha Somehow my friends have thought I am somewhat crazy for obsessing over a korean pop group but i have found a few of ius in the world (there even is a Taeyang fan here in Alaska! haha).
Kpop is exactly what they say. Once you find it you can never get out of it. I could totally see why so many fans could go on total fan girl mode. These foreign musicians are so talented. They are WORLD CLASS PERFORMERS. They write about true music and their love for music. Unlike most american musicians who put music out for fame, money, drugs, and just about anything--writing meaningless lyrics and similar beats.
Try googling BigBang and see if you won't get hooked. :)
